Fear of Man (6 Weeks)  | Worship

The purpose of this course is to begin exploring what the fear of man looks like in our lives and in our culture, what we have been called to (fearing God and loving others), how we have lost this focus, and how we can begin to reestablish the fear of God in our lives and regain a right perspective about ourselves and others. During this course, we will explore the various ways we most often tend to be controlled by the fear of man, for only as we begin to categorize our struggles in this area, are we able to see the paths that biblical repentance must travel. We will see explicitly that overcoming the fear of others is not something we can accomplish on our own. There is One who didn’t give into the fear of man and gave Himself up so that we could fear God rightly and thereby begin seeing enslavement to the fear of man eliminated.  First class meets on July 22.

Knowing and Doing God’s Will (5 Weeks) | Community

The purpose of this course is to explore the plain and clear directions from God’s Word about how to know and do God’s will for your life. In this course, we will seek to obtain a proper Biblical understand of how we should approach and understand God’s will for our lives, how we should make decisions, how to know what is right and good, and how to set our values and worldviews. First class meets on July 22.

The purpose of this course is to train and equip the people of North Valley Church to know and understand the purpose of why we exist as a covenant body of believers. We will break down and explore in detail the Biblical command of our mission statement to “become like Christ for God’s glory and others.” We will discuss and learn how this relates to each member of our church, how it relates to everything we do, and to how we do it.
